Gujarat: State-Level Policy

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is responsible for the welfare of persons with disabilities in Gujarat. The state has an estimated population of 1,045,465 persons with disabilities in a total population of 60,439,692 people. Gujarat has issued two resolutions under General Entitlements, four schemes under Women & Children with Disabilities, three schemes under Education, one resolution under Skill Development & Employment and seven schemes under Social Security, Health, and Rehabilitation & Recreation.

Chhattisgarh: State-Level Policy

The Department of Social Welfare is responsible for the welfare of persons with disabilities in Chhattisgarh. The state has an estimated population of 419,887 persons with disabilities in a total population of 25,545,198 people. Chhattisgarh has issued one scheme under General Entitlements, one scheme under Women and Children with Disabilities, three schemes under Education, two schemes under Skill Development and Employment, three schemes under Social Security, Health, Rehabilitation & Recreation and one scheme under Schemes & Grants for Organisations & Individuals for Disabilities.

National Capital Delhi: Territory-Level Policy

The Department of Social Welfare is responsible for the welfare of persons with disabilities in the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Delhi NCT). The territory has an estimated 2,35,886 persons with disabilities in a total population of 16,753,235. The government of Delhi NCT implements one scheme under General Entitlements, one scheme under Education, four schemes under Skill Development & Employment, three schemes under Social Security, Health, Rehabilitation & Recreation, one scheme under Accessibility, three schemes under Certification and two schemes under Schemes & Policies for Organisations & Individuals for Disabilities.
